Georgia Youngs

For over 35 years Youngs has been involved in the arts as a working artist, art instructor, gallery owner and a motivational speaker. Having previously owned 6 galleries she continues to pass on her accumulative knowledge as consultant to aspiring artists and gallery owners. Many students in Ontario and BC have benefited from her lively innovative teaching methods.

Residing now in the Kerrisdale Dunbar area of Vancouver, she opened her own in house art school that caters to both adults and children. When not teaching she finds time to paint her luscious florals, using her own unique sense of composition. She paints for the art aficionado who wants joyful paintings to grace their walls, which is why she loves to paint ' floralscapes' and makes no apologies for it. " I love the challenge in capturing how light bounces off a leaf or a petal”.

Her painterly style has been described by a well known gallery director as Magic Realism, is generous both in depth and colour making her paintings unique, powerful and lively.
