About The Director
Theresa Mura

Born into a family of artists, Theresa's artistic adventure started when she was just little while growing up in Chicago and has been a colourful journey of learning and growth ever since. She painted her path through Japan for 12 years after University, curated her own shows as well as group shows. Theresa found her way to the wonderful art scene in Canada working her magic in Whistler and finally running and operating her own gallery here in Vancouver.
What makes The Gallery George so special? Theresa's undying passion to support local established & emerging local artists has led her to run this cozy creative space where art not only hangs on the walls but comes alive with warmth and authenticity. Part of the gallery's magic relies on Theresa, her support to the artists, and her growth as the curator by receiving constant feedback from guests and artists themselves.
Located near the bustling heart of Gastown, the gallery invites art lovers and curious travellers to step in and support talents not just from Vancouver but also from Alberta, Toronto, and beyond.
Theresa has an eye for talent and often discover artists from obscurity. Inside The Gallery George, you'll find different art collections from traditional painted masterpieces to mind-bending digital creations, lighting design, photography, captivating 3D wonders and much more!
Theresa's mission? To create a stage where artists can shine their brightest.
