Michelle Houlihan

I am from Ireland and I have arrived to Vancouver in 2023. I have a background in fine art from Limerick School of Art & Design where I developed an appreciation for photography as a visual language. Michelle Houlihan / I love street photography for the way that it allows us to fully observe and reflect on our world, and this is what I try to do. Every place and every person has a story to tell, especially that which at a glance looks mundane. Photography for me is an ironic combination of spotting and catching the moment of chance, while at the same time having the patience to observe my environment to find that interesting scene, light and composition.
