Margaret Dyck

I love painting trees, they fascinate me. My earliest memories in Ontario revolve around the scent of pine trees and writing on the “paper” pulled from our birch tree. My family moved to Kelowna and our house had two huge cherry trees in the front yard, perfect for climbing. In the spring it rained blossoms before the cherries appeared - deep red and sweet.

Our trees are under constant attack from forest fire devastation, pine beetles, clear cutting etc. We survive because of the trees providing us with oxygen, wood to build our homes and furniture, plus fuel for fires to warm us.
