"I served as a Private in the Communications Reserve as a teenager and then in the Regular Force as one
of the first female Artillery Officers in Canada.
In 2018 I created a piece for submission to the International Veterans Art Exhibition at the Invictus
Games in Sydney, Australia where I was competing as a member of Team Canada. My self portrait was
chosen to represent Canada.
Since then, I have been experimenting with acrylics using palette knives to create texture and depth. I
use art as therapy to help in the healing process from PTSD and military domestic violence."
