Frida Aspani

Frida Aspani is a Mexican photographer based between Vancouver and Mexico City. Her work focuses on wildlife, landscapes and the emotional experience of being in nature. She has a bachelor's degree in Communication at Universidad Iberoamericana, she spent several years working in cultural events and film festivals before returning to the place where she has always felt most connected, the natural world.

She began exploring photography in 2021 and shifted fully toward wildlife and nature-driven work in 2022. Her images combine documentary observation with a quiet, cinematic sensibility, often highlighting fragility, stillness and the subtle tension present in wild spaces. In 2023, she was recognized among the Top 30 Photographers in Mexico by 35 Awards, selected from more than 400,000 entries.

She also began collaborating with National Geographic, developing stories that blend personal experience with environmental awareness. Frida’s work reflects a deep respect for nature and an ongoing commitment to creating photographs that inspire connection and care for the living world.
