Drago Tutnjevic

Beginning

My motivation for taking pictures started many years ago while I was in elementary school. One day my father brought a new camera, a “Regula L”. It was a family camera, but from the first day I liked to consider myself the primary owner. I still have this camera, and it is in very good working condition.
Soon after, in early 60’s, I joined a school photo club and created my first black and white photo in a photo laboratory. My photo journey continued throughout high school, university, and still continues today.
I have been a member of Photo Club Vancouver since 2009.

Present

I prefer to photograph landscapes, street photography and people.

Influences

My influences are first and foremost everything I see, feel, and experience. Presently, there are many photographers who are magnificent, but the artist I most admire are Gregory Crewdson, Andrzej Dragan and Ljubodrag Andric. They continue to inspire me in my views on photography.

Exhibitions & Competitions

So far, my printed images have been exhibited in every PCV Annual exhibition since 2010 and in the International Exhibitions of Photography in Montenegro, Turkey, Singapore, Hong Kong and Swedish. Also, I have accepted 56 digital and printed photos at 27 salons in 16 countries.
Awards and Collections
Recognition from AFIAP, and title Artist Photographer
Honourable mentions in CAPA 2012 Annual Digital Competitions, DIPA 2022, Silver medal.
My work is included in private collections in British Columbia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
