Nika Kozhushko

Nika Kozhushko embodies a revolutionary generation that is bold, smart, bright, relaxed, vibrant, and unapologetically honest, presenting the world with a powerful cultural vision of our horrific present. Nika was born and spent her entire life in Kharkiv, making the city a central theme in her work. She had a deep love for both the city and its people, often painting local writers and musicians, referencing artists, or capturing the beauty of the landscapes.

With the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression, she felt an even greater need to develop Ukrainian art. It was important for Nika to document the reality around her, along with her emotions and experiences, and to share them with the world. In doing so, she aimed to contribute to the cultural landscape of Kharkiv, a place she held dear.
