Kateryna Kryvolap

Kateryna Kryvolap is a Canadian artist, originally from Ukraine, whose passion for fine art was nurtured in an artistic family. A member of the Canadian Artists' Association, she is known for contemporary and traditional decorative painting, particularly Petrykivka — a Ukrainian folk art form recognized by UNESCO.

Her goal is to make Petrykivka Art well-known globally, combining traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. Based in Canada, Kateryna’s work has been exhibited in numerous countries including the USA, South Korea, Italy, and Canada.

She is also the founder of Kryvolap Art Academy, where she has taught over 3,000 students from around the world, sharing the rich cultural heritage of Petrykivka Art with a modern twist.

Petrykivka, rooted in Ukrainian folk traditions, often symbolizes prosperity, health, and love. Kateryna’s paintings continue this tradition, with each work not only serving as decoration but also carrying a deeper meaning — a celebration of harmony and well-being. Through her art and teaching, she inspires new generations to explore the richness of this unique cultural heritage while adapting it to the present.
