Safiyya Ahmad

Safiyya Ahmad is a Vancouver-based artist and lawyer. She works primarily with acrylic and watercolour paint, with brief forays into oil pastel, pencil, and ink. She draws inspiration from her books, her travels through Canada, India, and Japan, and the peculiarities of her imagination.

This collection of artwork includes a series of acrylic paintings of landscapes, both fantastical and real, inspired by places that are close to her heart. Safiyya graduated from McMaster University with a B.A.Sc. and a Masters in philosophy, in addition to her J.D. She likes to spend her time walking along the seawall, reading Agatha Christie, and spending time with family and friends.
