Lawerence Lowe
Lawrence Lowe is a practicing artist in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He graduated in Print Media from Emily Carr College of Art + Design and has taught Print Media extensively throughout British Columbia. He has also taught Relief Printmaking at Emily Carr Institute in both Continuing Studies and Degree Programs. Lawrence is inspired by finding new objects with different surfaces to draw on.
His art consists of ink drawings on various surfaces (paper, wood, stone, elk antler and deer and elk hide on drums), wood carving and relief printmaking. He loves to work his drawings into the surfaces and colours of the materials that he finds. The heart of Lawrence’s work lies in the beauty of the detail he discovers in the natural world. Hours spent with a pen or a carving tool take him inward where he can find a place of focus and meditation, a place where he can create and be completely himself. Studio: 352-1000 Parker St
