Zennie Pihl

Zennie Pihl is a Danish-born multidisciplinary artist and tattoo artist based in Vancouver, Canada. With over a decade of experience specializing in colour realism with neo-traditional influences, her practice explores the human form, emotion, and storytelling through the body.

Working primarily with the female figure, Zennie’s paintings use light, shadow, texture, and the interplay of rope against skin to create imagery that is both delicate and powerful. Divine Entanglement marks a natural evolution from her tattoo practice into painting, transforming her intimate understanding of the body into a more fluid and expansive visual language.

Where tattooing demands precision and permanence, painting allows her to embrace spontaneity, texture, and movement—revealing the tension between control and surrender that lies at the heart of the work.
