Jiri Theimer

Jiri ( George) Theimer is best known for his sculptures and coffee tables made from driftwood, and fascinating oil paintings of North American landscapes. Having to escape communist Czechoslovakia in early 80’s, he spent some time in Austria where he sold a number of his earliest paintings. His dramatic journey continued to Canada, where he opened a house painting business and art became just a hobby. But, Jiri never stopped painting and sculpting. He uses his talent to make others happy and lot off his friends proudly enjoy his art in their own homes. Having worked so hard his whole life, while keeping art on the “back burner” all these years, it is time for Jiri to retire from his business and focus his energy on his art full time.
