Kyle Fang

Kyle Fang (b. 1997) is a photographer born in Zhongshan, China, based in Vancouver, BC. Guided by the mantra: “All things are photographable,” Fang dedicates himself to documenting everyday life around him as his work asks us ponder on the mundane and the light described upon it. He primarily uses film for its delicate, tangible process, which allows him a deeper connection to the world he observes. When he’s not photographing, Fang can be found deep in photo books, playing music, or making silver gelatin prints in the darkroom.

Fang credits his approaches to Henry Wessel, Garry Winogrand, Andre D. Wagner, Jason Eskenazi, and Joel Meyerowitz, whose works and philosophies collectively inspire that of his own.
