Jason Lapeyre

Jason Lapeyre is a writer/director working in feature films and television who has been based in Vancouver since 2021. He grew up an army brat and lived all over the place, including India, Germany and Japan. He’s been shooting street photography as a dedicated amateur since the ‘90s, starting on film and aggressively resisting the transition to digital (although a couple have slipped through). In recent years he’s fallen hard for medium format, even though it makes street shooting way harder. His favourite street photographers are Vivian Meier, Weegee, Bill Cunningham and Ricky Powell.
