Maylinn Lam
Things change continuously, Maylinn was drawn to the camera for its ability to capture that unique fleeting moment, that in-between time as a person is traveling from one point to the next, transitioning from different states of being.
Moving along the urban edge, there exists a dynamic exchange between the traveler and the landscape, seeing and being seen by others, absorbing the scene intuitively, to find a place within the chaos. Maylinn uses reflections, various in-camera techniques of motion blur, intentional camera movement (ICM), multiple exposures, to evoke emotions, memories and associations in the viewer.
