Francis Karl de la Peña

Developed his interest in photography while working in Dubai as a special education teacher. Being in a place vastly different from his small town in the Philippines, he became fascinated by the city’s rich culture and vibrant daily life, capturing its diverse people and the moods of everyday characters in its bustling streets. Now based in Vancouver for over seven years, Karl continues to document the street photography scene, as well as taking photos of nature, his food, and his cats, Lakan and Gabii.
