Barbara Tevarotto
My path to art has never been straight. Born in Italy and trained as a lawyer, I left in1995, lived in the Netherlands and the United States, and settled in Vancouver with my family in 2002. A shift from law to graphic design opened a new way of seeing, now expressed through art and photography — a space for authenticity and personal truth. I work between people and place, drawn to fleeting, unguarded moments and urban fragments that feel symbolic or quietly surreal. In the space between the literal and the poetic, I explore the threads that bind us. My images aim to hold both what is visible and what is felt, telling quiet stories of presence, humanity, and connection.
