Lakshmi Gosyne

Lakshmi Gosyne paints with a focus on light, atmosphere, and the emotional power of colour. Inspired by the changing sky, weather, and open space, her approach to painting reflects her journey across cultures and coastlines. Through warmth, contrast, and careful use of mood and balance, she creates paintings that invite viewers to pause, connect, and discover quiet joy. 

She mainly paints on canvas and wood panels, and evokes calm, clarity, and a strong connection to nature. Lakshmi believes art should be felt as much as seen, leaving space for memory, interpretation, and personal meaning. Currently from Port Coquitlam, Lakshmi is originally from Trinidad and Tobago and grew up in Toronto. She’s also lived in New Zealand and Thailand. Her background in communications and storytelling brings clarity and purpose to her art.
