Jill Nixon

Jill Nixon is a self-taught acrylic artist based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, originally from North Vancouver. She began painting as a teenager but stepped away from art after losing both inspiration and belief in herself. Returning to painting years later became an act of healing and rediscovery. Inspired by personal experiences, everyday life, and the dogs that have shaped it, Jill creates acrylic paintings that blend reality with subtle surrealism. Through her paintings, she explores connection, darkness, hope and humour, inviting viewers to find their own stories and meaning within each piece.
