Robert Atyeo
Robert Atyeo is a Toronto born artist who currently divides his time between Peterborough Ontario, and Vancouver. Ever a creative soul, Robert has enjoyed a successful career as a singer songwriter and it was during that time that he began to paint.
His abstract expressionist works have been influenced by the paintings of Jackson Pollock, the Group of Seven and also by his appreciation of the natural world. Working with bold acrylic colour, he drags, drips, throws and spills paint onto canvas, leaving behind landscapes of tangled forests, rivers and sky.
Robert’s paintings have been exhibited in Ontario at Gallery Q, The Acme Gallery, The Canadian Canoe Museum and The Christensen Gallery, in Quebec at Arts Sutton and The Knowlton Art Gallery and in Vancouver at The Gallery George. His paintings hang in homes across Canada and in the USA.
