Gary Squire

‘Life is often laden with too much to do, and precious little time to stop and stare at the beauty all around us. I hope that my pictures catch the viewers’ eye, and cause them to pause for a moment, feel calm and smile.’

Gary Squire has lived in Vancouver for over 40 years and many of his photos represent this amazing city and surrounding area. Gary combines his love for photography with hiking in the nearby mountains, and has become renowned for his astonishingly beautiful mountain scenes. Gary also enjoys travelling, another abundant source of his photography.
Gary uses his imagination and artistic skills to create stunning photo art, with the application of advanced editing processes. Perhaps because he is also a watercolour and acrylic artist, his photo editing often results in an exquisite painterly finish.  His work is printed either on bamboo paper or canvas.
