Nadia Aldea

Nadia Aldea is a mixed media artist based in West Vancouver. She creates from a place of acceptance, healing, and exploration, capturing the complicated dance between pain and beauty. Her work focuses on the female form, layered with hidden details and vibrant colors. Almost all of her pieces feature body parts - eyes, mouths, and obstructed, disfigured faces - challenging the viewer to see beyond the familiar and embrace a different kind of beauty.

She works with a vast range of mediums, allowing her to push creative boundaries and build complex, textured layers. Her goal is to demand a moment of stillness, inviting deep observation and reflection while challenging the eye to see differently. Balancing her artistic practice with family life, she lives in West Vancouver with her husband, three children, and two dogs. Her work has been collected internationally, reflecting its universal appeal and emotional resonance with collectors worldwide.
