Simon Maennling

Simon is a local photographer who’s been capturing the Vancouver landscape and the people that reside here since he picked up his first camera back in 2012. His passion for making pictures emerged from surfing the web and diving into photo books, discovering all the unique stories and perspectives one can portray through images.

He has since honed his skills and actively enjoys photographing people on the streets and just about anything that catches his attention. Simon is currently dedicating much of his time to the analog film medium where he is documenting the brightly coloured and wonderful neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant and Riley Park, which he hopes to turn into a professional photo book one day.
