Renato Simoes
My journey as a painter began in 2000, marking the dawn of a new millennium—a moment of fresh beginnings that would guide my path forward. For over two decades, I have devoted myself to creating works that honor the sacred intersections of nature and human connection. Flowers and the women who shape our lives remain the heart of my practice.
My engineering training informs every composition; I embrace the dynamic tension between mathematical precision and liberated expression. Rigorous structure coexists with free-flowing creativity, producing canvases where sharp geometry dances with organic softness. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, I pursue saturated color and dramatic lighting to achieve an interplay of intimate warmth and theatrical presence.
Whether rendering tender familial portraits or lush botanical arrangements, each piece seeks to celebrate growth, vitality, and the bonds that anchor us. Ultimately, my work aims to be both decorative and profoundly expressive—a contemporary lens on timeless subjects that invites viewers to find joy, emotion, and aesthetic delight within their own spaces.
