Ramandeep Sidhu

Ramandeep Sidhu is a self taught artist based in Langley, British Columbia, working primarily in acrylic and oil. His practice is inspired by wildlife, natural scenery, and the emotional connections people form with the world around them.

Drawing from his Indian roots and his life in Canada, he brings together different cultural perspectives and a deep appreciation for nature. His paintings explore ideas of freedom, strength, vulnerability, resilience, and connection through expressive colour, texture, and movement. Rather than simply recreating what he sees, he aims to capture the character and feeling of each subject. Through his work, Raman hopes to encourage viewers to slow down, appreciate the beauty around them, and find meaning in the everyday moments of the natural world.
