Jolene Dosch

Jolene Dosch is a Vancouver-based artist-educator whose work is in dialogue with place. She treats her work as a form of inquiry that keeps her grounded in the rhythms of life. In her early work in acrylic, Jolene was moved to capture the expansive skies and shifting light of the prairies.

In Vancouver, her attention has turned toward botanical subjects in watercolour, a medium that demands patience and a relinquishing of control. She studied painting, and illustration & design at St. Peter’s College and the University of Saskatchewan, which preceded graduate studies in Making in Education at SFU.

This experience deepened her commitment to a regular art practice, which remains integral to her well‑being. This exhibit reflects a willingness to grow. Inspired by the mascots of the 2026 World Cup, these paintings display a conceptual narrative absent in her earlier work. This collection represents both experimentation and continuity.
