There are villages, there are towns and then there are cities. One of the features of cities is that they change with the times. When I arrived in Vancouver and got off the train I walked up main street and passed this classic motel. Fifty plus years have passed and the motel is there but the view is being transformed by new buildings as the city continues to grow. The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus of Ephesus, said – “the only constant in life is change”.
