Valerie Capewell

‘I begin a painting, then end it. I push and pull it. Like a roller-coaster some rides are gentler than others. Paint goes down, and then more, until I have something to start. Only there does it really begin, like landing on a field. In an organic manner, I respond to what is in front of me.’

Valerie opened her graphic design + illustration firm 32 years ago. Ten years later she began carving out time for her painting. Today, she is a full-time artist and creative with works selling worldwide - coast to coast in North America with numerous paintings in New York, Philadelphia, Austin, Miami, as well as Europe and Australia. She is represented in Ottawa and by Saatchiart in Los Angeles.
