Randy Oliver

Randy Oliver is formally trained in fine art from the University of Alberta and his studio is located in Vancouver, British Columbia. He draws his inspiration from the human experience and how it relates to the perception and sharing of common values.

His work includes both abstract and representational. He has been involved in a number of juried and group exhibitions and is scheduled for a solo exhibition in the summer of 2024. In his abstracts in this exhibitionIn he delivers a feeling of movement and excitement. I’m interested in conveying emotion in my work; I try to create an energized movement that gives life to an emotional feeling within the piece.

All the abstract works in this exhibition have a subject matter, and the movement that I’ve tried to create is within and around the subjects. The medium in all of these works are oil, and acrylic Spray . The paint was rapidly applied with a palette knife to create the movement and energy.
