Deborah Betts

Deborah Betts is a Canadian born, Vancouver based artist, influenced by her large family and parents with European & Slavic heritage. She is a graduate of Emily Carr University of Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Visual Arts.

A passion for fashion and a love of real estate created a greater appreciation for design and contributes to her inspiration. In her work, she investigates the relationships between nature, landscapes, urban lifestyles, daily experiences and the feminine. Deborah is a mixed media artist, and creates primarily paintings, photographs, and sculptures. She also creates abstracted photographs from some of her paintings altering their original form. Her work has vibrant and soft flows of color with abstracted representations in them and sometimes hints of realism.

She has an art studio on the Westside of Vancouver near her home. Her work has been purchased for residential developments, the film industry, various private art collectors and commercial businesses in downtown Vancouver. 2024
