Jonathan Hoskins
I retired to Gabriola Island, British Columbia in 2018, following a 40 year career in Health and Human Services management where I was an expert in data presentation graphics, written and visual communication, marketing graphics and data visualization. I have been doing printmaking for over 3 decades, including water based monoprints and some watercolor paintings. Over the last three years I branched out into vibrant acrylics, and multi-media abstract techniques.
I love the light and natural colors, earth shapes and energy of Gabriola Island, BC which inspires me as I walk the trails and view the seascapes. I strive to create art that invites the viewer into their own experience and definition; that is textured, multi-layered and reveals itself in a variety of ways at different moments.
